|
|
| Hi, I usually know how to find pointers, but this one getting on my nerves. I found the rate value in a game and can play with it until I log out so I need a pointer. After a few ofsets , I keep getting the same addresses or offsets and NEVER get a green address. I tried many times and still same thing. Is it possible that this float value has no pointer? and if yes is there a way I don't have to search it everytime?

Come on man you been here long enough to have read how you should post for help.
You didnt tell the game.
Al tho you did give a decent post on what the problem was your having.
How about using what writes to it and altering it in a code injection or AA script.
The address you find, should be the same one every time. So thats all you need after that.

| Yeah sorry I posted this in a hurry :S as for modifying what writes to it, I tried it but everytime the address gets changed. I turns to 0 and the value switches in another address. It's for age of mythology, the value of the rate. People CAN see the changes you make to it. I tried changing what reads from it but the game crashes everytime with no apparent reason. I can't even make a trace to see what's wrong. I guess that even if I modify what writes to it, because it only writes a 0 and jump somewhere else, that woudn't help much .. I'm kinda stuck :S

So when you find what writes to it , That address found changes?
If so you are getting code shift.
Put the address in the lower mem view window and i bet you it is in a dll file where you found it.
Your going to have to try using Base module name + address to get this.
