|
|
I was wondering what information is sent back to the server on flash games (particularly Neopets)?
When you send your score back to the server, is any other information sent? Will the server know how LONG you've been playing, how many clicks per second, precision? The answers to my questions probably vary from each website, so would anyone know how Neopets operates?
I recently made a script for one of Neopet's flash games, and plan to make more. However, I do NOT want to get frozen, so I want to modify the script to make it more.. humanlike . I was thinking of putting in random delays, along with random mouse movements. Would any of this help?
Thanks in advance!

| i think i know. my friend told me that when u send ur score it actually KNOWS HOW LONG YOU'VE BEEN PLAYING my friend found that out. it sends the time in seconds though so like if u 've been playing for 7 minutes it'll send them 420. AND i think they know how much clicks you've "clicken" cuzz i mean .. if ur like just auto-clicking wouldnt they know cause on a site i made i was the admin (obviously) and when someone clicked on like a topic it said that.. "bob has clicked this topic" so i think they would know

Thats right, they log game play time and if your scores are such outrageous compared to the time played. You get busted.
Many score tables on sites post times to the public, you can tell who is cheating.

So to bypass that, can't I just set in a LONG delay so that the overall time is reasonable?
Is anything else logged? Or commonly logged..

Try it,
I say if you dont want to get busted take a look at the score tables, See the times for legit scores, Do infinite lives/freeze timers or something and make legit times.
The times posted on the score tables, are logged from the time you logged into the game. Actual connection time.
There is always a clever way to get a time with your score.
God mode/infinite lives/freeze game timer and just go to bed, Get up 12 hours later and then cheat the score.
Also there are other games that list the level as well as the time and score, this will take a bit more work.

you could use a flash decompiler and figure out that way what exactly is being sent.
Of course, if you have a successfull deconpile it's just a small leap to recompile it with some modifications

Thanks for the suggestion Dark Byte. I've actually semi-tried that before. The only problem is that it is near impossible (or very difficult) to download the .swf file or get any link whatsoever
