Some problems arose when i tried to cheat a game...
The main Problem was, there is absolutely no way to minimize it, none, i tried minimizing programs and all ways of minimizing ce provides.
I thought this might be obviously a case for ce-network version.
I made sure my wine is setup on my linux machine and send the ce-client to it. Then on my windows PC, that i use to run the game, i started the ce-server before starting the game. So far so good, the ce client even runs quiet well with wine on linux btw. But now another problem arose, there is absolutely no way to pause in the game, none, absolutely none. The game's damn fast and if i leave it alone for even 3 secs i'm dead...therefore it's no good if the game isn't frozen. Then i thought: well then i'll also run the normal CE, it can pause the game...since I cannot minimize it i chose create process. However when i selected the exe it should open it gave me an error, the game started but then it crashes. I cannot pause the game so...how the hell am i supposed to get to the other computer while the game is still running? the value changes even if i leave it alone for a sec, there's no way even if my other pc was right beside me. So can't the CE server pause the game somehow? If not maybe it would be great if it could...

edit: When creating the process...I'm not 100% sure it's an error message...

I assumed it must be an error message since even if i confirm it and the game starts it crashes shortly afterwards.

Right now the client/server doesnt have anything of the advanced part of CE, only basic scanning, and other basic memory stuff

But I gues i could put in a attach to process thing.

About the message when attaching: That is some debug information i forgot to take out. (I tried to find the entry point of the file to make debugging easier, but it didn't really work right) But i've got no idea why the game crashes.

I cannot imagine either why it crahes...
Well it usually starts the intro movie fine and i can select to go to survival mode and i can select the character but when i mouce over the options if i want to continue or start a new game or want to change settings or look at rankings, that the kind of menu I'm taking about, then it just crahes.
But now that i started the game normally again...i think there's one thing that might be the cause...when mouceovering over the options japanese letters that require japanese as the system language appear. When the process was created with CE it just crahes instead...maybe that's the cause?...just an assumption...

This might actually be the cause...who knows...

What happens if you run the exe using start->run... or open it with explorer, instead of using the icon in the startmenu ?

You could also try checking the "Prevent debugger detection" option in settings. (or unchecking if thats what causes the crash)

I never, really never ever use the startmenu.
I have a plugin in aston (www.astonshell.com) that allowes me to expand a little line that can execute any exe or start anything...just like run.
For me it's after to type the full path of a program in it than waiting for the start menu to load (i have so many entries there it's....horrible) and to search for the app there. For apps i use fruquently i use the quickstart or desktop, but never ever use start-menu.Sometimes i also use astons' side bars but who cares. . As for CE I run it with a desktop shortcut hope it should run correctly like that. There's no difference if i run the game with "run" or from an explorer. It cannot be minimized. Even with checking the "try to prevent detection of the debugger" option ...there's no use.
Oh well i just tried something different and it worked, I'm damn stupid.
If i also run CE with japanese regional settings it works fine...although i still cannot minimize it I can pause the game...so if i start the server before the game then i can pause with normal CE and scan with ce-network edition. Sorry for being stupid
