dear sir:
I have two questions when i compile the driver.
1.
When i re-compile the driver about dbkkernel, some message show
" Environment variable NTMAKEENV must be define
The system cannot find the path specified."
SO~~
What is mean??
and.... How can i correct it..
2.
After installed DDK, in DDk's subdirect, there has may "build.exe" files in dufferent subdirects, like X86, erc...
SO~~
which "build.exe" files I need to compile the driver?
PS. My computer ssytem is "WindowsXP Pro. SP2."
I have installed DDK.
Thanks for Your anser...DB sir...^^

Start Menu> All Programs> Development Kits> Windows DDK 3790.1830> Build Environments> Windows 2000> Windows 2000 Free Build Environment
And the build.exe thingy... Windows 2000 Free Build Environment selects the right one automatically, so use it

changing to dos-16 file structure
1 file(s) copied.

2 files compiled - 2 Errors
.\objfre_wxp_x86\i386\*.sys
The system cannot find the file specified.
0 file(s) copied.

I get nearly the same error.
I wanted to make an UCE and followed the steps in RollingDice's tutorial. My first try was an already detected one. And everey time after it when I tried to run ce in that Free Build Environment I got that Error and no dbk32.sys/whatever.sys at all =(
I downloaded the 5.3 beta source again and again then I tried an older Version from 24. may or something like that but same error again =/
I also reinstalled DDK but still no effect to that ~.sys
[ edit: ]
lol, kk, I found out that it was that "0x080"->"0x08X" (etc) step. Without it I get a nice Whatever.sys. But is it critical for an UCE?
