Cheat Engine

Hey ppl something weird is happening at my machine and i dont lnow wtf is.
i rememeber that cheating flash games was easy(just scan Iexplore for a double value)but then i reinstalled everithing on my machine (put win xp sp2 all win actz and installed ce 5.1.1).
And now i try to search for the values in double and i cant find a sh*t but then i thought in binaries and BINGO it was that.
But why?
I someone has the same problem plz post it here.
Ps: i tried a lot of flash games and its not because of the game. Maybe its because of the actualizations of IE.
Ps2: i wouldnt post it if i havn't a really slow sucking machine and that kind of search allmost kill it. Smile

Yup ive tried truncated and rounded (Def and EXT).
I also tried float on the 3 ways

yep im using all the default settings.

fastscan is by default on, so turn that off

i'm talking about double truncated and fastscan off (at the same time). that should work. (works for me)

anyhow, when you find it using binary add the address-1, address-2,address-3,address-4,address-5,address-6 and address-7 as a double and you should see one of them contains the value you where looking for.

aparently CE doesnt work with flash player 8.... which sucks if you dont have flash 7 to downgrade to (like me)

Are u sure about Flash 7?. ill try to find it and test.
anyway wich version are u using DB ?
and yup I tried Double Truncated Fast Scan off (the default option is fast scan off and hyper scan on so i turn off hyper scan and fast scan)
and tried in ce 5.2

ok ive installed flash 7 and now im tring it....
yep that worked perfectly im using double truncated and fast scan off ( the default is fast scan off and hyper scan on but ive teste with both on and both off and i get the same results)
im ataching the flash player 7 for anyone who needs it.

THanks so much! Does anyone know the reason why flash 7 is required?
does flash 8 like hide the values or something?

no idea. It looks as if they use their own method of wrting values, no idea what method that is though. (for all I know it may be they have a list of all possible values and they change the pointers to point to the right value)

Remember that is not absolutly necessary to downgrade to flash 7 u can still find the adress using a binary search but if u have a really slow-sucking machine like me the u have a problem
cos it takes so damn much time to make the binary search but i gues with something better than a Celeron 633 mhz u should'nt have any problem.
