|
|
Hello, I would sincerely ask for help.
While I have quite a long time not working with Cheat Engine, recently I tried utilizing it again.
After basic searching I haven't found related topics and solutions. Therefore I'm trying to seek for help here in the forum.
Currently I'm using Cheat Engine 7.5.2 from Patreon. Several months ago I believe it was working then. After I installed 24H2(26100.1882) recently (note that I'm in pre-release channel of insider program) DBVM seemed to not work properly. As I could enable it normally in "about" tab but after "DBVM successfully loaded" Windows freezes in about 0.5 second. I have to restart Windows from there.
I also cannot confirm if it was related to the Windows version.
If you may need any log file please just let me know.

I'll check it out. Do you have a hexadecimal POST display on your system ? If so, what is the number when DBVM freezes ?
Also, what kind of CPU do you use? (brand and model)

Thank you for helping. Sir. Dark Byte.
As for the part POST display I'm referring it to error code displayed after freeze. Unfortunately Windows completely freezed into a state that it does not require holding the power button to shut it down, but short-pressing it is enough.
CPU I'm using is i9-12900H.
Need to mention that manually loading DBVM from CPU19 to CPU0(20 in total) make DBVM successfully loaded.
However when I tried to turn off the computer using normal GUI in Windows, PC freezes as what happened as automatically loading DBVM.
Therefore I guess it's not the load process which was wrong but maybe other process.

I have the same problem. I have a 14700K processor. It supports dbvm and I double click on the green text but the computer freezes and I have to shut it down by pressing the power button. I have reduced the number of processors and tried different numbers but the problem persists. I have disabled all the options in device security. Secure boot is disabled, virtual machine and security virtualization options are off. Dear Dark Byte Do you have any other suggestions to fix this problem?
