How does Cheat Engine super safely and smoothly, check for pointers' validity?

I know it doesn't check if the pointer is null and I am not interested in that unsafe solution.

Since it updates fast enough making me wonder.

readProcessMemory api.

and if you mean from within a process, {$try} {/$except}

I am asking these random questions because I told you I was going to make my own tool. It might not feel like I am doing the right thing by asking and learning from the maker of Cheat Engine about the project that I am going to replicate.

But my intentions are not to shadow Cheat Engine I adore it. But I feel like it needs a lot of changes starting from the ground up. Because that's never going to happen the only way is to make it the way I think it should be.

I already have made a scanner module that beats Cheat Engine's scanner by 60 times as fast.

Sorry for the off-topic nonsense. I want to know how Cheat Engine shows the addresses in the address list and how the value at the address updates relatively fast.

But yeah that is kinda stupid of me to ask that because it's working externally and the only option is Windows API ReadProcessMemory()

I'll find a way, Thank you <3
