Cheat Engine

I have been trying to download cheat engine 7.5 today, but I keep getting SSL errors like this one from Firefox:

SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG

So far I've tried the following things to get around this, but no luck:

* clear browser cache/history
* disable all add-ons
* different browsers (edge, firefox, chrome, tor, etc.)
* different OS's (windows, debian)
* disabled security features on router (like malicious site blocking)
* bypassed router (used a wifi hotspot (yes phone was on cellular))

Plus a few other things I'm forgetting.

I also downloaded the source from github and compiled it using Lazarus according to the instructions on the github site. However, I get an error that 'luaclient-x86-64.dll' is not present in the Cheat Engine folder. Probably didn't compile it correctly (?). I tried both 32 and 64 bit release modes, and neither worked.

Was there a link to pre-compiled binaries on the github site? If so, I missed it and only got the source.

At this point I'm wondering if the ssl issue is on the webserver side and if it's not just me experiencing this issue. Any help would be appreciated, and it doesn't matter to me if it's help with downloading it or help with compiling it correctly.

PS: For downloaded files, are there sha256sums or gpg verification that the correct file was downloaded? I missed it if it's on the site.

likely your ISP. which internet provider do you use? ( optimum internet or related?)

as for the luaclient you'll need to compile the luaclient project as well

Well, I use Comcast for my house. So everything that goes through my router goes through that ISP.

However, I also disconnected my phone from the router and switched to cellular, which is ATT, and still had the same issue.

I suppose it could be both ISP's.

But I also tried vpn (via tor) ... not sure how the ISP would block that (?).

It magically worked yesterday afternoon, downloaded successfully.
