Hi all,
I've created a few simple cheats for Beware v000, but I'm having some difficulty expanding. Here's a link to the game version I'm using, and the cheat table (wasn't able to attach it, and links had to be formatted this way because I wasn't able to add them the conventional way):
(IndieDB) /games/beware/downloads/beware-demo
(Google Drive) /file/d/1OfDZTBwioDzI7d474b9mS1sO4SRKGxOP/view?usp=sharing
Cheat table notes: Changes the engine power with hotkeys on the Numpad (1-9), and can disable the damage scripts.

So far I've managed to dynamically modify some engine power parameters (using numpad hotkeys) and make the player invincible by NOPing scripts, but nothing else. I'm looking for a more generalizable approach, which feels next to impossible with this game.

How I got to where I am:
I stumbled across these variables years ago and to be honest I don't remember how I managed it. What I do remember is poking and prodding at different variables and seeing what changed, with some simple search>browse memory and a little work in the Mono Dissector. Lastly a pointer scan to allow the variables to be consistently found when I re-launch the game.

What I'm trying to accomplish/learn:
-track down active variables for other vehicle parameters such as tire grip
-learn how to properly use the Mono Dissector to break down instances of objects (including outside the Assembly-CSharp category)

What I've tried:
-followed some YouTube tutorials on general concepts in the Mono Dissector
-made a simple game in Unity to test the same principals
-find a relevant data structure (Class), search for instances, check each one for relevance, Dissect Structure, etc

In my example game it was a breeze (imagine that), given the structures are easily found in the instance search, but the same attempts on the actual game have all been failures. I found a reasonably similar structure for engine parameters in CarX > Carx.CarDesc+Engine and CarX > Carx.CarDesc+TorqueSamples but no instances of those structures include the variables I already found, nor is the structure identical. And making changes to variables in the found structures seems to have no effect. Lastly, using the Structure Dissect on the variables has only found results in a Single[] array with no apparent relevance.

I would appreciate some advice on other approaches to try, what I may be doing wrong, or tutorials with a scenario comparable to this.

Thanks guys!
