Is it possible to allocate memory in a target process from python? I know I could use kernel32 on Windows, but how about macOS? For what I'm doing, it has to be from python, though running code through python is not off the table (e.g. C code).

If I remember correctly, Cheat Engine has a macOS version, and assuming it has the same functionality as the Windows version, how does Cheat Engine pull it off? Is it possible to do the same?
