Cheat Engine

Hi!

I am writing code that is using Cheat Engine as a backend. It needs to install a plugin automatically and start it.

What is the best way to go about this that is the least cursed? Smile

1) Bundling cheat engine (Not sure what the current license is? Or if it's even a good idea). Also not sure whether or not bundling it will overwrite the registry key that cheat engine uses to store settings anyway.

2) Finding cheat engine. I have tried to do it via the registry, but the closest I have found is finding the registry key that registers how to open cheat table files.

I *could* add a tutorial, but to be frank, the target audience isn't exactly.. the most bright.

The program will obviously ask before doing anything.

Look for the path that handles the .CT file extension. It leads to CE

yes. When CE is installed using the installer it gets set
