Following some posts a few years old I was able to get root access on bluestacks and attempt to run ceserver on the emulator. Upon trying to run ./ceshare I got a segmentation fault error. The shell doesn't give any other information for debugging, but I assume this is just due to the ceserver binary being so old and not up to date.

EDIT:

I compiled ceserver myself, and now when I run it it gives the error
Code:
OnePlus5:/data/ceserver # ./ceserver
sh: ./ceserver: No such file or directory

I have no clue why this is happening, the file is marked as executable.

EDIT 2:

I am retarded and built the ceserver for linux and not for android. After installing android-ndk I built ceserver for android and it is now working. I will leave the post up in case anyone else is as stupid as I am.

EDIT 3:

I am able to connect to the server just fine, but when I try to select a process Cheat Engine hangs, similar to this post from 2018 viewtopic.php?t=607116&sid=9e8941e4870b97f19403248324feedc1. The problem is, I am not sure how that person got it working. I have tried running bluestacks with a 64 bit nougat install and a 32 bit nougat install, and tried both the ARM ceserver and x86 ceserver, and nothing has worked so I am not sure what I am missing.

EDIT 4:

I was curious so I tested this on my rooted pixel 3a and cheat engine hangs upon trying to select a process there as well.

I read that you need to compile it due to changes in ceserver. I did try to build cheat engine but I got an error when I tried to compile it.
Code:
cheat-engine/cheat-engine/issues/2404

Quote:
When I try to compile I get the following error frmModifyRegistersUnit.pas(1053,36) Error: Identifier not found "doubletoextended"

I already added laz.virtualtreeview_package as a requirement but that only fixed the first error, and now Cheat Engine refuses to compile with that errror.

EDIT:

I removed the line of code from cheat engine that was stopping it from compiling (it probably wasn't important, right?) and compiled the ceserver extension for x86 as well. Trying to activate speedhack spit out a bunch of garbage that I can't read, but I did see a line that told me to tell you about it so here you go. pastebin(dot)pl/view/db9ec114

use the ceserver that matches your system
I see a lib64 folder, so it's unlikely it's x86

I tried using the arm64 build of ceserver and the arm64 extension with my Pixel 3a. Cheat engine gets a process list, but when I select one and try to do anything, it says 'Peer disconnected' in the log. Searching for a value returns nothing, and speedhack does not work. I might just wait until you release the binaries with the next CE release and try again then.

did you also use the 64-bit ce version? (The error you got earlier was because you compiled in 32-bit. The 32-bit version of CE can't address 64-bit addresses)

I was using 64 bit cheat engine and arm64 ceserver, with the arm64 ceserver extension.

I will send a log whenever I boot into windows and try again.

edit:
got everything working, but it seems AOB injections (or any instruction manipulation) don't play well so cheat engine can't really do what I want it to.
