I cannot run any feature that tampers with data of other processes, such as attaching DLLs or even the normal scanning if I open cheat engine manually.

Reinstalling, and letting it run first time from the "run when installer complete" checkbox, DOES work. As soon as I close it and start it again, it stops working. I do have to turn off Windows Defender in order to install, so I am suspecting it is also the culprit for CE not working.

Running as administrator doesn't work, turning off virus protection doesn't work, adding exception to the whole CE folder in windows defender doesn't work.

I am using Windows 11, with no other antivirus installed.

If anyone has any idea, I would greatly appreciate the help. Reinstalling every time I want to use CE isn't exactly... comfortable.

If so, what exactly happens when you try to run a feature that tampers with data of other processes? Based on what you said, I suspect there may be a group policy setting interfering with the normal function of CE. Having the installer run the program after install may be circumventing the group policy and allowing you to run those features because the installer has some unique privileges on a Windows system.
