in some unreal engine games, instructions have string descriptions, while in other games there sometimes is just addresses with no description. is this intentionally done by the developer? how do i always find these descriptions?
also, is there any good way to learn assembly? i have no idea how yall learned this LOL
Special names given to addresses in the disassembler come from extra debug information provided by the game. Probably mono related. If no such debug information exists, there's nothing for CE to display.
I learned assembly slowly. Start with various tutorials online, try basic code injections (e.g. the CE tutorial), read instruction set references for particular instructions, look at output of compilers (e.g. compiler explorer), and eventually skim through actual architecture reference manuals for more in-depth information. _________________
I don't know where I'm going, but I'll figure it out when I get there.
