One thing you should never do is that, never keep your laptop in the service center. You have to ask them that if they can fix the laptop in front of you or not. They always do something wrong and blame us for it. They asks for more price by ruining the system themselves.

In the service department they are thieves, for a broken USB port they wanted to change the whole motherboard.
I finally bought a connector for 5€ and replaced it myself

You can find most tutorials on how to fix a large number of Laptop issues on YouTube. Although, I'd personally recommend you made use of your warranty. Repair stores are a last resort and in most cases, if your warranty has lapsed, it's probably best you purchased a new laptop altogether.
