Im new to using CE and im trying to use a CT file i downloaded off the site but every time i load it i get this msg

This is not a valid cheat table (data error)

Could someone please help me fix it.

P.S sorry if ive posted this in the wrong section i couldn't find a "help" section

I know you can not post links. But you can give "post ID".

Open thread with CT file. Click this:

on the post where attached CT is.

Look at location bar in your browser.
For example you will see something like this: viewtopic.php?p=5700854#5700854
5700854 is the "post ID"

It's probably the CT file has made not use cheat engine or a proper xml editor when working on cheat tables.

Using notepad for handling cheat table won't work properly as they don't deal with thing like < > & / etc.
Suggest, use proper XML editor to find out which lines contain errors and fix the CT file.
I don't know if any XML editor completely with debugger function while edit CT file, maybe use Lua Edit ?

The CT file is corrupt maybe because your download was messed up. Try redownloading
