Been using CE for awhile now. Mostly for altering single values and using premade tables. I am trying to make a table of my own and am running into something odd. This is a standard RPG maker VX Ace JRPG (probably one of the sources of my issues) I want to find the pointer to party member #1's HP. I can scan, find, and narrow down my pointers(to around 150) by restarting the game or reloading a save file, however if I do that even once all the pointers left have their values freed if I access any menus in game. on the other hand I can narrow down my pointer list(to around 1000) by rescanning while flipping through all the menus, however I lose all pointers on the list if I try to reset the game or save.

It's like I have a venn diagram, with one circle being "all the pointers that function in menus" and the other circle being "all the pointers that function after reset" with no overlap.

Granted, I'm new at this and wouldn't be surprised if I'm ignorant of a common practice for others, however I'm also rather confident in my google-fu and that has failed me thus far. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I Wouldn't suggest you to do any pointer scans on Health, while u in some menus..
Cause sometimes in menus Health goes under ?? and updates only when you are in move.
Try to do nothing while Pointer Scan is scanning for you, cause if something changes based on your health, Pointer Scan can skip it..

Also if Pointer Scan left for you like 1k results and they all show health its cool..
Pick any and use it , if something goes wrong with it..
Pick another working Health value and do re-scan based on it.
