so one of the classes i am taking in business law. if there's one thing that everyone knows about law is that it's a grey area. no black and white. because of this no matter how hard i study and know the answer to questions on the pop quizzes and midterms i can come up with a reason why that answer would be wrong as well. in other words, i overthink everything resulting in a grade that does not accurately reflect my knowledge of the material.
was barely hanging on with a 92.8% in the class prior to thursdays midterm. because teacher was behind she quickly and poorly went through the last two chapters the class before the midterm and i overheard her silently telling a few students (after class) midterm is thursday.
and so i was kinda over the class and decided to experiment this next midterm. so i decided because i keep having this problem of overthinking everything i'm gunna see what happens when i don't overthink everything.
so i stayed up really late over the weekend and slept in and made myself exhausted. day of the exam i was so out of it i could barely understand what the questions were asking. so i simply just read the question for what it was and answered straight forward. no stress at all. just let it happen.
get results back yesterday and i got the highest grade out of all 3 of my midterms.

Happy for you - not sure which sector you're going to be working at. Are you planning to be an accountant/auditor? Or are you planning to go into banking? That's what I'd figure where many finance major wants to go to. But it's difficult getting in banking from a statue university. Let alone in Cali. There are a few sell side areas but you still have to stand out even I'm the buy side.

no, won't be doing accounting/auditing or going into banking. i would major in accounting if that were the case.
i'll be going into health insurance as a financial analyst. my mom has a guaranteed spot for me at united health care immediately after i get my bachelors. entry level to start off at like $60,000-$65,000.
then the goal is to work a few years, get sponsored by company to go back to get my masters at a good university and work my way up to 6 figures.

Oh nice. That sounds like a sweet deal. Have you thought of being the finance guy for car dealerships? I'm not really knowledgeable in those types of sectors. I'm more into the banking aspect since many of my relatives are bankers. One is wealth manager at UBS and another owns an investment firm in San Jose.

i haven't even considered any other path once i get the degree. this option is safest and makes most sense. i also thought about doing finances for the company i was working for in recovery since i know the owner quite well and his business is expanding rapidly.
i also am concerned with the 7 felonies that are now misdemeanors affecting my ability to get a job. i have to wait another 4-5 years to have my record sealed from potential employers
btw... You should ask them for a small loan of a million dollars
