Cheat Engine

Hey I was playing a torrented version of Dark Souls 3 so I don't have to worry about being online. But I recently lost a large amount of souls and figured it would be easier to get them this way than to begin the arduous task of collecting them all again. Could someone please show me how to gain souls using the Cheat Engine for DS3?

I attempted to use the DSII method of entering my current amount of souls, killing something, next scan of updated amount of souls, repeat. Then I would attempt to edit the values to something, and when I press enter it instantly reverts it to its previous value! Am I doing something wrong? I would really appreciate the help.

I also took a look at previous Dark Souls 3 posts in the forums and the only one that I found that has any sort of information is the one regarding tables. I don't even know what those are or how I can use them. There aren't any tutorials yet!
