How do I cheat?

Hello folks. I'm new to this forum, and I'd like some help.
So recently I upgraded my Cheat Engine 6.4 to 6.5, and now every time I launch the software I get this message...
"Your license to use Cheat Engine has expired. Your can buy a license to use cheat engine for 1 month for $200, 6 months for only $1000 and for 1 year for only $1800.
If you don't renew your license Cheat Engine will be severely limited in it's abilities. (e.g: Next scan has been disabled)"
OK what is this? I'd never got this kind of message before upgrading to 6.5. I thought this sofware was free. 
And I believe it's not a scam or something because I actually downloaded the exe from the official Cheat Engine website.
However the website doesn't say anything about the license. Am I missing something there?
Also 1 month for $200, seriously? Isn't that a rip off, or is it just a mistake?
I mean, I would somewhat understand if it was $2, but $200 is just impossible. And it's not too often that I use this software.
As much as I appreciate the functionality of this software, that price is too unreasonable in my honest opinion, also there are plenty of other memory editing softwares out there that are not paid.
Sorry if my English is hard to understand. I'm an English learner.
If there are any grammar mistakes, please correct them so I can improve my English understanding. (Speaking of which, shouldn't the message be "Cheat Engine will be severely limited in its abilities," instead of "it's"?)

Yes, this is an April fools joke. I have been using this program for years now and I will admit Dark Byte got me with it as well when I first started to use cheat engine. Then I looked at the date and was like that son of a gun! Happy april fools day Dark Byte and the CE community.

You'd think people will smarten up the next year and you would be wrong year after year.
Maybe ppl dont celebrate apil fools in some pats of the world?
