Hello dear users,

I have a question for the calculation.
How do I calculate with the calculator, the following calculation? (Windows)
[Eax + edi * 4]

eax = 2E1131A0
edi = 38AA789C

What is the correct formula?
The result will not fit into the offset, I'm doing what's wrong.

Please help and accurate explanation! Thank you!

The resulting address is 0x2681A31C.
It's just basic mathematical calculations.

First mutliply EDI with 4: 0x3E8BF * 4 = 0xFA2FC

Now add the base (EAX) on top: 0xFA2FC + 0x26720020 = 0x2681A31C.

How do I calculate the offset for the pointer?
What is the offset in this case?

I doubt you'll be able to discern it just from that instruction alone. That's why it says "probably" in that guess of the pointer value.

However, you do seem to have a decent lead to the base pointer's location with that previous instruction: mov eax,[SupremeRulerUltimate.exe+A572A0]. Try to see how it calculates edi before that instruction and do so in the same manner. You might even be able to get away with just keeping that offset at 0x3E8BF*4, but I dunno if that could change between game and/or computer restarts.
