the fastest way is to learn C++ at home. I had horrible problems with programming terms when my english was at much lower level. That caused a lot of frustration.
After that, I've tried PHP programming and it was so easy. I've learned big part of PHP functions and made website in 2 days. It was so easy that I couldn't handle being at school learning stuff that I don't care about so I went home and completed that website. PHP is like C++ with bunch of functions already packed in.
