I can consistently find the value for my character's health using a 2 byte search only. I have tested and the address for the character health is correct, not just a display value. When I do a pointer scan and then rescan using an updated address it shows 0 results found (and the results of the pointer scan are always 4 byte).

Is it possible that a game doesn't have persistent pointers at all, or can the search be modified in some way? And why does it give the values as 4 byte when they're being accessed by the game as 2 byte? I can manually change a 4 byte address to a 2 byte one and have it display correctly for that session but why is it 4 byte in the first place?

after the scan check what addresses it has found.
perhaps it has alligned it to a 32 bit address.
when doing a rescan you may have to make a similar adjustment yourself

It was as easy as just disabling the 32 bit aligned setting in the search. I got more results than before and after rescanning those it kept 19 of them. After rebooting I got the 1 that works. Thanks!

Try checking the unrandomizer box. This will scan and change some routines that are commonly used to generate random values. Remember though if it overwrites the wrong routines or the program uses an unknown random generator it can cause the game to crash. Very Happy
