I guess that time is not too far when Google decides to force us to live our lives the way they want.
Good thing i never jumped ship to use their crappy browser even when Opera decided to betray us all, i can enjoy my extensions the way they are meant to be used and not bother with an evil conglomerate shoving their crap upon me.
PS: This is not about ads being an acceptable revenue form or whatever, this is about overriding user's choice which they have absolutely no right to do!.

Uh-oh ad-block has launched a mobile browser based on Firefox's android browser
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.adblockplus.browser
Google must be fretting now, i don't think the browser is going to gain much traction though. Android has google built into it and switching to another browsers breaks google now and every other app so i don't think anyone is going to bother with that at least i am not but i am way too lazy

is this video "watch?v=44oJi5w2Wjc" they are talking about on geek?
if so is funny, because no ads as any effect on my hosts file,I have yet to see a ads on youtube since I started using host file, unless MS parthner with YT and in any way manage to ignore the hosts file I doubt anything better than 127.0.0.1 will ever exist.
if companies are really pissed about ad blocks what they could do is implement a script INSIDE their database,I am seeing this more frequently, entering a site and even if I only use hosts I get a msg "Looks like you are using ad block" and trying to remove said message is inefective, because those fuckers are smart and instead of using any of those "ad.sitenamehere" variations they just added the script to their database,so to block the popup I have to block the goddam site :/
note: look like the script [reade-rname] is being used here but instead with [ad-block] so it appears as faggot, what it means? maybe DB doesn't like ad-blocks too LoL

Deama they can be blocked with faggot I'm pretty sure. I don't think I get many ads, but I think youtube isn't the best platform for music.

Well, according to dev of the chromium project it was a bug that will be fixed with new version of chrome or if you disable ad-block/youtube app. This bug turned out to be really beneficial for Google
I don't use chrome so maybe the new version has been out already hence why you don't see ads anymore.
@LeglessQuasimodo: That is not the point, of course Google can force users (they have the world's smartest people on payroll), they just demonstrated that with this 'bug' but how do you think that will affect Google's reputation ?. Not in a way they would like.
