This has only happened to me when I use 64-bit Cheat Engine 6.4 while cheating on BlueStacks, doing many scans on the Physical memory from address range 0xa0000000 to 0xdfffffff:
Sometimes, when I hit a key on the numerical pad (while inputting the next search value), the last key I hit keeps showing up on the screen as if I were holding the key down. This persists no matter what application I open -- notepad, wordpad, firefox, and heck, even the Start Menu. The only way to 'stop' this is to reboot my computer.
If this sounds confusing, here is an example of what I am talking about:
Suppose that I want to do a search for the exact value of 35. After I press the '5' to finish entering '35' and do my search, then the next time I click on the 'Value' field, I see that '555555555555555555555555555555555555555...' is being entered automatically as if the '5' key were being pressed down. When I open notepad (via shortcut), I again see that the 5's are being entered out of control. Same when I open the Start Menu -- the mad rush of 5's is automatically entered endlessly in the 'Search programs and files' field, at least until the maximum character limit for the field is reached. This makes my computer virtually unusable until I am able to reboot it.
I do not know how long I need to be using Cheat Engine 6.4 (64-bit) for this to happen. Sometimes, I can use CE6.4 for 3 hours on end with no problem. However, this annoying phenomenon sometimes happens just 5 minutes after I've started using Cheat Engine. The address range I search is always constant: 0xa0000000 to 0xdfffffff.
Computer Specs:
Windows 7 64-bit
32 GB DDRAM
Radeon 1GB SGRAM graphics card
3.2 GHz Intel processor - 4 CPUs
250 GB HDD partition space - 50% free space
