it's like these companies just ignore absolutely everything around them as well as towards them, and just perpetually smell their own farts and say "YUP, SMELLS GOOD TO ME. EVERYONE ELSE HAS GOT TO LOVE IT." I'm dropping UbiSoft now, they are just as bad as EA. Of course everyone cares about 1080p you fucking morons. Video gamers have been graphic whores ever since the release of the fucking Atari 5200 AT LEAST. Every new generation should have an upgrade in visual effects because it does effect gameplay. Completely despite the fact that these new consoles don't even support 4K which is fucking absurd since that has been available for quite some time now, not being able to play at 1080p is just fucking stupid. Consoles in the 7th Gen were playing most games at 1080p native, why is it that the PS4 and Xbox One(retarded name) can't handle 1080p 60 fps in their games? And the parity bullshit going on with lowering the resolution of the PS4 version of AC:U is fucking stupid.

he's not saying LITERALLY NOBODY CARES ABOUT 1080P, hes saying that the general consumer doesn't give a shit. higher res = more $$$

why spend more $$$ when the amount of money coming in pretty much won't change since its a triple-A title and everyone will buy it regardless of its res/framerate. you have to remember that vidya is first and foremost a business and the sole reason a company exists is to cut costs and make a fortune

at the end of the day the only thing they benefit from by supporting better res/framerate is PR/dickwaving

even though i require 1080p@60hz at minimum most people don't

if people cared they wouldn't have bought the ps4 and xbone
pay for shitty product = shitty experience
any game developed for those platforms are developed on pc first because they use dx12 or opengl or whatever, so we dont even have to worry about bad pc ports any more

if you bought any last or current gen console, you are killing video games
