Don't like the dashed-line separators. Also don't like the left and right borders being so bright.

Like the rest so far, though.

background is way too active, make it a flat color/something mostly flat

I partly agree with this. Though I don't believe the background itself needs to change, I do think a lot of the empty space should be filled so that the background doesn't stand out more than the content.
