but still no luck. it used to only happen on weird random occasion within the past month or so, but now I can't even watch youtube videos. I get audio just fine but I only get a black screen for visuals. I;ve tried running firefox in safemode and disabling all add-ons but no luck.
if anyone can possibly help me I would appreciate it. I don't know what is causing this issue. btc tips if you're interested.

If this is FireFox, I have no idea, but I know for a fact that in Chrome, there's an in-built Flash Player which sometimes becomes buggy for me.
In chrome, I would navigate to: chrome://plugins/ and disable the in-built flash; maybe something similar resides for Mozilla?

Hello GannoK,
I recommend the following to resolve this issue:
1) Download the latest version of Firefox from Mozilla.org
2) Clear your cache and your cookies
3) Reset Firefox to default settings
4) Download the latest version of Flash player, if you already have version 15.0.0.152, reinstall your Flash player
5) Consider restarting Firefox in safe mode and disabling all add-ons
6) Reboot your PC
