I'd like to know how I would go about modifying the days on "Swords and Potions", the first game(Not Swords and Potions 2).

I have an offline SWF of it, and the game basically just starts you off with 9 days, until you run out. after you hit 0, you wait 10-30 minutes for an extra day.

I tried modifying the simple "days left" value, but it only works on the front-end. the back-end still acts like I have no days left, and makes an invisible 10 minute timer. Speedhacking doesn't make the timer go faster even.
