Hi, I have just installed the plugin "Steal Edit 2" (2 for CE 6.2) but when I use it, i get an error that says "DEP is permanently disabled for the process, please enable DEP for your system" so I followed microsoft's Windows 8 guide to enable DEP, I set it to be enabled for all programs except those I select, I then restarted my computer, and tried again, I got the same error, With the DEP error are errors saying INIT STEALTHEDIT FAILED and other such things, I am on Windows 8 64-bit, using the 64-bit CE and 64 bit stealth edit, I have friends who are doing the same thing I'm trying to, with the same version of CE and it works fine for them, is it something with Windows 8?

DEP (NX) also needs to be enabled in bios
And the target process must be 32-bit

What you can also try is the 32-bit ce with the 32bit stealthedit (w8 messes up symbolname lookup in 64bit by picking the 64bit api in 32bit apps)

Ok, so apparently my problem was I had secure boot turned off, turning it on fixed all errors, thanks for your help, its what lead me to finding out about secure boots dep stuff.
