How do I cheat?

I am new to cheat engine. Today i looked up videos on ways to gain more moves per level, but it did not work. Did candy crush do something to prevent cheating? Or am i just doing something wrong?

The method shown in the video was to scan for the amount of moves i had, then make a move then next scan for the new amount of moves, and so on.

But after the first scan, i couldn't find the new decreased amount.
