How do I cheat?

Is it possible to get banned for using Cheat Engine in Dungeon Defenders? Assuming that you're playing strictly private matches and assuming that you don't play with equipment too much. I'm talking about ranked mode here.

P.S. I can guess myself, so please state your source. E.g. "I've been using this for X and Y purpose for 8 months now on Ranked, I have 5 Lvl 100 chars and I have not been banned or had any problems whatsoever." Or "I'm using Cheat Engine with Dungeon Defenders for Z purpose for 2 weeks now, I haven't been banned yet."

chrat engine does not work with Dungeon Defenders
