Ok in certain games when i change the value of something to 999999 for example health once i get hit it goes back down to the normal value it would have been



ex: my health is 100 and i get hit, it goes down to 95. it decreases by five with each hit, so i change the value to 999999, and my life bar fills up until i get hit again, and it goes back to 90. how do i keep it to 999999?

Unplug your network cable while playing this game.

Now, when you're sure you have no internet connection and it still happens, then you most likely only found a display value instead of the actual value.
Try looking for a different variable type. (Perhaps it's stored as a float from 0.0 to 1.0, and the lifebar just shows it internally using 0 to 100 )

When it happens to me it's usually the wrong address.
If you've got multiple results from the memory scans, try another one.
If that's the only one, just start to scan with an Unknown Initial Value and then for next scans use Increased Value & Decreased Value.

Chances are that the real address will be a big weird number.
Test it by freezing it and whatnot.

I also recommend that when you do find it, look for the correct data-type. Try to switch it to float and double to see when the value makes sense.

Yeah, it doesn't sound like the correct address. I probably wouldn't use 999999 to test. You're better off freezing the address, as Pokiaka suggests. Also, make sure to get hit more than once to test for the correct address. In other words, when you freeze an address to test, get hit at least twice to test the results. Sometimes, the visual will not reflect the actual - and you may not see that it's immediately working.
