im young and bored, so i decided to be cool like you guys and learn to code

where/what do I start with?

You can do what potaters said (it's a real good idea), but what I personally did was follow some tutorials over something like vb.net (wouldn't suggest this language, at least start with C#) over basic stuff like a calculator or what not. After I finished some tutorials, I would try to think of a new idea (like an alarm clock) and try to create it. When I did my first project on my own, I based a lot of code off the tutorials, but over time, I learned what code does what, and why, afterwards I was able to make programs straight off my own head without basing it off any other code.

Honestly, learning how to code really just depends how patient you are, if you're actually determined to learn rather than just memorizing some lines of code, and copy+pasting (AKA - skid).

Java's pretty easy. My Uncle got me a book 'cause he teaches it in University.
