hi,
as you all prob. know, IDA 5.1 is available for free off hex-ray's official site.
Whenever I try to use IDA on a 64-bit program, however, it pops up with an error message that says that I "Need to use a 64-bit IDA to load AMD-64 files"
Question:
1. Can you please list any free programs out there that are similar to IDA but can load 64-bit files that you know of? (I'd prefer if the program ran in Windows, but don't mind Linux solutions either)
2. Have there been any workarounds to this issue in earlier versions of IDA? The newer versions, obviously support 64-bit files, but those cost money. After a little googling I found a closed thread on an old russion forum that I shouldn't mention that talked about the inclusion of a specific dll that might solve this issue in older versions of IDA...does anyone know any more info about this?
Thanks
johnny
