I haven't played Vindictus but I think C9's dungeon system is different, its close to Lunia and Dungeon Fighter Online, while I think Vindictus is more like... Dungeons and dragons online.

the combat style is similar from what ive seen of vindictus though.

most MMO's are generic anyways, replace vindictus and C9 with any other MMOs name and theres very small difference

and from what I can tell its been in beta around the same time as Vindictus, and was just now released to the US. its possible it came out first.

Only reason I stopped playing Vindictus was because of how repetitive it was. You'd do the same dungeon 10 times for 10 different quests...
If C9 is less repetitive, then it's better in my book.

it is less repetitive because it haves waay more areas.
while the game mechanics concept is the same there are many improvements.
combat is more fluid, battles are way more dynamic and with way more mobs.
there are combos and rewards for holding the combos
and there is PvP while in dungeons and in arenas.

I only tested it on the second closed beta. on the final levels it was a bit tiring and repetitive though.

Ive gotten to level 10 in this game which is a lot further than I get in most free MMOs(because you can tell when one sucks in the first few minutes of playing), and its still pretty fun, hopefully there is good item progression so that the dungeons dont become monotonous
