I don't know if it's true or not but what I heard is Mumble has absolutely 0 latency (unless you're on a shitty connection of course, but I doubt ANYONE have a connection that bad) whereas ts / vent always have a couple milliseconds.

having a 0 latency is physically impossible.
if it does say 0ms then you shouldn't trust that time calculations.
The only way you can get a 0ms latency on anything is if it never leaves the system.
the radius of the earth is 6500KM aprox
so the distance from one side of the earth to the other side should be
pi*radius (half a circle)
20000KM aprox
speed of light is 300 000 000 m / s
300 000 km/s
300 km/ms
light takes 66.6 ms aprox to travel from one side of the earth to another.
to that you have to add the app calculations, the distance from your house to the ISP, from the ISP to the backbone ( the bridge to the international fiber ), etc.
