I always had five chargers on ready to replace one, since my entire family used related Acer laptops. I love China.

So turns out I was right. Tested the charger on other laptops and works fine. Tested other chargers on my laptop, none of them work. The pin in the center of the jack is a bit jiggly, which I'm certain is the problem.

Gonna take it in to get repaired Monday hopefully. I would fix it myself, but I really don't feel comfortable taking apart a $1500 laptop, and soldering a replacement part to the motherboard.

that guys right. it only happens with shitty acers. but i dropped my acer aspire one netbook at the pearson airport and it still works (except the charger problems)

you could try rotating the charger slowly until u find the spot that makes it charge, then dont move it from there. pretty soon ur back will be broken.
