my "essay":
| Quote: | | Humans are biological computers programmed to recognize patterns and make reflective decisions. Initially, each human began their life with only the primal knowledge required to survive that was embedded in their DNA. All of their knowledge gained through their life experiences would be lost at death. After the development of language, humans were capable of passing on information to younger generations, allowing their children to possess knowledge previously unattainable in a single lifetime. Eventually our level of language evolved to instant communication through phones and the internet. It is because of this communication that we are so efficiently able to provide training to and share instruction with others before they begin a new task. Consequently, while a person may be capable of discovering the most efficient method of completing a task on their own, it is wisest to seek out potentially time-saving information from an experienced source beforehand. |
score: 2/12

The SAT is a bitch. I ended up doing the ACT which was way more my league and colleges loved it.

Yeh but I only decided to apply to a uni a few months ago and I'm signed up for the last possible SAT, ACT's ended a while ago, and if I wait until next year to take them and apply then I'd actually be going to a uni in like 3 years.

I don't know how those scores work, sorry, I'm confused enough with SAT.
650+500+650 = 1800 which I guess is my score?
Stanford says they require 1700 so I guess that's good, but that's also including the failed essay which is BULLSHIT, I MEAN WHAT KIND OF PROMPT IS THAT.

You typically add only two of them together for most colleges. I originally thought I scored that high as well. Make sure they are really looking for 1700 and not a lower number. It's odd for them to add all 3.

| your essay had almost nothing to do with the prompt, the last sentence is the only relevant thing, it should have started with that then elaborated

It's an introduction with a thesis, it's just fine, the problem is that I have nothing to put for a body and shit, I mean what else could you possibly say about such a vague prompt?

Do people accomplish more when they are allowed to do things in their own way?
When people do things their own way they are allowed more freedom, due to lack of restraints. Etc.
They don't give a shit unless you ANSWER THE PROMPT.

What does freedom have to do with how much they accomplish?
I'm sure the sweatshops in China get a lot more done than the few remaining American workers today.
Also Connor you have 20 minutes, I doubt they're expecting a page or more.

I got 4 paragraphs with line counts 3, 6, 5, 3. I took the ACT which is 30 mins iirc. If you really had to use the fucking time as an excuse, you deserve whatever grade you got, and you sound like the retards that take tests at my school.
HAO CAN DOES THE TEECHER WANT ME 2 RITE GOOD ESE' WHEN CAN ONLEy HAV 20 MINUTS?
They are definitely expecting a page or more btw, have you even skimmed through an SAT prep book?
