I keep everything important on my external and secondary drives, so reformatting wasn't really a problem.

I'm being serious. I think Its time to buy an new pc. Or just install 32bit if your pc can't handle 64bit

Like I said, try 32bit. Worth a try bro | 32 bit is not worth a try... everything works great, and I never have any problems aside from the recent slow start-up, which I just fixed.
