This is a decent website I found a couple days ago that allows one to make money online from home. I tried it and these were some of the many things I noticed:
Most of the jobs are done overseas (outsourced for companies)
Basic wages of $50-250 (even on simple jobs)
Experienced users (people with high reviews) almost always win the job bid
It's hard for new users to get a single job

The problem with freelancer is that if you are attempting to find any programming jobs as a new user, you are pretty much screwed. (Unless you can somehow convince the cocky project host).

However... there are a couple of good methods to make bank.
Youtube views generator
Facebook bots
Data Entry (will talk about more later)

The reason why the above methods work best is simple, you only have to program once (until something gets patched.. not like you can guarantee something is unpatchable to the buyer Smile )

Once you make one of the above programs, all you have to do is search the freelance jobs section and bid on EVERY project relating to the bot. (It would be beneficial if you made the bot high quality so that you wouldn't have to modify it to specific prerequisites made by users).

The only problem is that freelancer limits you to 10 bids, gaining +1 bid every so and so hours. Initially you would want to send as many bids as possible, but that isn't going to work in this case.

What you need is to "up" your credibility.. Either make duplicate freelancer accounts and get to work, or find many jobs (doesn't matter what), and bid the lowest prices possible until you improve your freelancer "rank."

Warning: Watch out for people who say you should send them the project first before payment. You will get scammed eventually (or all the time). The reason for this is that the freelancer project dispute feature is flawed. If you insist on giving them the project first, make sure it has a virus in it that you can activate from your computer (or at least make it self delete!)

Long-term: If you are going to try the data entry projects, make sure they are captcha-FREE. They even have full time jobs for them!
*Just make sure you can find a good one that can be easily manipulated.

If you are unable to do any of the above plans, try thinking of your own. But please, don't waste your time doing trivial jobs on this website. It's just not worth it!

If you are successful you should be making a LOT of money. (I am!)

To every disadvantage there is a corresponding advantage.
