If there is a packet sniffer, wouldn't I be able to send packets over and over again?
So say if I get some exp or money in a game that goes to a server, and sniff out those packets. If I told the program to send it again, wouldn't I get more of the exp/money?

If the game is coded very poorly, sure. The server should first send a "x mob dropped y gold" then your client would show the dropped gold, send "z player picked up y gold"
Most likely it won't work because the server actually knows there's no money available to be picked up.

In other words a decently coded server will just send confirmation requests to the game client, so if you were to send duplicate confirmations for the same request it would just throw an error on their end and result in nothing for you.
I don't think you'd get banned right away for playing around with it since that can happen via network lag anyway.

Possible, you can but except for you ignore the reliability and security over data you seems to send
