1st Bought Android (mobile market)
2nd Google+ (social market)
3rd Google Drive (file uploading like DropBox)
4th Google Offers (sort of like what FB had a long time ago)
5th Google Chrome (web browser)
6th Chrome OS (OS)
These aren't in chronological order btw. But I believe Google is becoming more of a follower than a leader. Google isn't being the intuitive Google that I've come to know and love. I feel like they're trying to create a trust here, and I wish they'd just stick to their search engine and maybe Google Offers since that can be be combined with their search engine (I include Google Maps, GMail, and stuff like that in their search engine). Basically Google is just copying everything and coming up with their "own" version.
What do you guys think? |

I have to agree with you, the search engine's quality has gone down since those product releases too.
Penguin screwed everyone over... _________________

| I can understand a Google Profile but nothing like Google+. I feel like Google is tracking everywhere I go to help their ads. That's okay, but too intrusive in my opinion. And I believe all of these Google "features" are adding to that. |

| So they are trying to monopolize every digital market and you think they aren't innovators? |

They are, but here recently they haven't been. There have been a few things such as the Navigation with Google Maps and maybe other small things like that.
EDIT: But I believe their reasoning for monopolizing every digital market is to improve their "profiling" of each of us and display better, more relevant ads. However, they and a few others are just becoming too intrusive for me. The sad thing is they're the best at what they do IMHO, so I'm stuck with using their features (Google, Google Maps, Google Chrome, GMail). |

| Innovation isn't just creating new things; it can also be improving what we already have. |

That's true, but Google isn't doing a great job at that either lol. Before we know it Microsoft will jump in, it already has SkyDrive and Bing.
It just seems like companies are copying each other more than usual lately and not adding a lot more features to what they've copied.
IDK, I don't think this topic has much of a merit, just made it to sort of rant and see if anyone else agrees/disagrees. |

| Google is becoming what Nokia was, in some terms, in 2007, when the nSeries was at their peak and the iPhone just on the market. |
