Did it hurt when it first showed up?

If yes to either of them it's not cancer and it's just an inflamed lymph node. Doctor will probably just give you prednisone for it if it stays like that for more than a week.

Dude don't stress out too much, I've had those A LOT. In my neck and armpit mostly. If it's a soft lump that you can move around a bit you probably don't have a whole lot to worry about: I've had those a lot and they were always a swollen lymph node. Lymph nodes also tend to swell in those areas if you've recently been ill, as they are the thing that take care of the junk that flows through your body. During or after you've recovered they have a tendency of swelling up.

That said, it's always wise to visit your doctor.
