For a class to get ahead, go to first day of class, get told course material has changed completely from the previous years and none of that is being taught anymore.

this is a database course and you're not getting taught normalization?

Actually its a Systems Analysis course. We get taught normalization in relation to E-Rs, then we get retaught first to third form normalization and BCNF in our database course (along with b-trees and other technologies for actually implementing a database).
