Is it my internet or windows 7. Something wrong with gateway access and internet randomly disconnects and network too..
Googled it and someone gave instructions to do this:
| Quote: | Open Device Manager
Locate the Network Adapter
Right click, Properties
Go to Advanced tab
Locate the Task Offload (aka TCP offload) property on the list and set it to Disabled
After setting this property and applying the changes, the Internet connection remained stable and no longer dropped out when transferring large amounts of data. |
So I don't know if anything has changed YET but I would like to know if it does actually solve the problem.
What does solve this connectivity problem?

Can be anything, for starters do this.
Start->run
ping google.com -t
Let it run for a bit and tell me if there's any packet loss or anything other that's not ordinary.
Depends what you're running, if it's dsl2 could be your phone wire, could be your router configuration or just faulty hardware. Or it could be just a software issue.

Seems to be working fine so far. Only thing thats changed a tiny bit is the MS
but for hardware issue, I just got a new Ethernet cable today cause my xbox 360 one fucked up and every other piece of hardware for the internet is good I suppose. I don't see any faults on the modem lights.

When in doubt throw it out.
The internet is bad anyway.
You really should go hang out with friends or something cool like that.

Let it run till your internet crashes.
Also, does it automatically reconnect after it crashed or do you have to do it manually?
It started happening after you changed your cable?

I used to have the same problem, and turning off my modem for 10 seconds and then turning it on again used to solve it.
Don't know how to solve it permanently though.

It reconnects after but after a very long while. That is why I plug it out and in manually and now to think of it, it has been happening after my new cable, BUT my old one had the broken clip thing so it would disconnect at times so I had to keep a box to push it up to stay connected, that is why i got a new Ethernet cable so new plugs prevent from Ethernet cable pulling out easily.
Also is there a problem when it says.
IPv6 Connectivity: No network access
but for IPv4 Connectivity: Internet

Yes the cache is pretty small on cheaper routers, it can sometimes overload and cause packet loss. Restarting the router and clearing the memory will work. Happens to me sometimes but rarely. Torrents can cause this because of the huge adress resolving tasks the ARP table gets overloaded.
When it happens log onto your router and check if it gives you any information about the issue.
While you're pinging google open up another window and ping your router, if the router won't respond while your internet is down it's clearly a cable issue.
You're not even using IPv6 it's quite a new protocol, most of the people are using IPv4.
