I was expecting a reply like that :p
It was actually meant as a personal joke.
I let a this guy from my school drive it for a while, but then he let one of his friends drive it, who took off and came back without. Started bullshitting me, said the cops took the bike and I had to go recover it at the police station, kept trying to find excuses so I would let him go etc etc. You'd have to be real naive to believe his story.
After half an hour my friends who were standing at the other side of the street finally came over to me to see what was up, and one of them went to get the cops at the police station down the street, but as she left they quickly returned my bike to me.
Didn't wanna make me look awesome though, but rather make the thief look like the dumb shit that he is, and express my pissedness at how I lost 40 minutes of my life dealing with his shenanigans.

Following your logic it would only be ironic if the plane crashed because of his fear of flight.
