Does it depend on what bittorrent you use or would it damage the system alittle? I just want to boost the download to it's maximum speed for my torrents because 1.1/mb is still kinda slow. So any tips besides watching youtube videos because they have not worked. :/

Only thing I can think of is to be sure to NOT decrease your allowed upload speed too much... While you may not want leechers, the upload speed also influences how fast you can download.

There used to be 'hacked' p2p clients that would allow you to leech more then you uploaded, but pretty sure those practices ended when limewire went in a downward spiral.


EDIT: I forgot, if you have a firewall that supports QOS, you may want to give ICMP a higher priority then everything else. This should help a little.

On a torrent it really depends on seeders. If you limit your upload sometimes it will help if you have shit bandwidth.
