hi Dark Byte.
i have a problem with CE 6.1 that is cause of crash CE.
i started CE and in Menu Bar click Help -> About and click OK. click immediate on Progress list button or save button or open button and click and close one of them and click again Help -> About, CE CRASHED. this happened for me.
meantime my windows is seven 32bit. what's problem. PLEASE HELP ME.

can't reproduce
the about window, is the text at the bottom green or red ? (or bright green?)

when ce crashed, windows show a message that "Cheat Engine has stopped working.
a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." and this message has two button. Debug and Close program.

do you have any kind of global debug watch or exception filter installed on your system ?
The only way I can reproduce this is if I have an debugger attached to cheat engine and then show the about screen (the reason for the crash is because the debug event that is triggered is unknown to the debugger and should be handled by ce's handler instead)
what is showing here is that ce's handler doesn't even get it

I haven't any kind of global debug watch.
Another way for show this problem. please watch this video.

you really don't have an intrusive protector (e.g Comodo firewall/anti virus can completly trash your system)
also, what debugger interface do you have set in settings ?

I removed anti-virus from my system, but I don't know why not solve the problem?
I got tired. It is better that I come along with this problem.

I have found what is my problem?
My problem is Nokia PC Suite not Antivirus.
I got solved my problem when I removed it.

My problem has been fixed. The problem is a virus at the Win32, the system folder. It prevents some programs to work correctly. Now my CE 6.1 is working fine after I got rid of that virus. TS, you can try my method. Use Microsoft Essentials for the scanning if possible. It might not be perfect but it got rid of most of the viruses. Scan your whole system drive with it or your trustworthy antivirus. Hope your problem will be fixed soon.

| when i download cheat engine 6.1 it always turns into text edit and i can`t access cheat engine to use. please help i think it might be that i have an i mac if thats the problem is there a cheat engine that works on imac? :( :(
