I found this DAT file in my Robot Wars Extreme Destruction game folder, if anyone who has the game, AND a IDE (only program I could open it with was Visual Studio) who wants to help me to get invincibility, are very welcome to help!

I will post the link to my DAT file in a flash!

Not all files are meant to be opened with a program (visually) for editing. .DAT files are normally binary storage files to hold information such as saved games, macros, configurations, etc.

The file header matches a known compression method though, 'Rob Northen compression'.

However attempting to decompress it only leaves some strings:
